Our first journal club discussion was in 2016 on September 27 with the following preamble and readings:
“The digital environment is complex, chaotic and increasingly interconnected which makes it hard to keep up with all of the changes it brings to all our lives. At the Teaching and Learning Symposium earlier this year, we were introduced to the concept of rhizomatic learning that offers a way of rethinking how we learn in and navigate the digital environment. This concept suggests we learn by reading, thinking, watching, telling, hearing, sensing, playing, hearing, wondering, discovering, investigating, connecting and having time to germinate. Inspired by this and the development of our digital literacies framework, we would like to invite you to connect with your colleagues and reflect on and discuss digital literacies over lunch once a month.
We will have lunch with Lankes, dine with Deleuze, and gourmandise our way through Guattari and others!
